Time to get shirty!

I love it when effort is put into music videos, some can be so dull, it’s unbelievable, however, Just Jack’s ‘Glory Days’ is the exception.

In my opinion, it appears to be inspired by the video of Bob Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’, this time with t-shirts, and lots of them!

The song is great too, I love Just Jack’s (Jack Allsop) laid back style. It’s also a perfect sound for summer, just like last year when Corinne Bailey-Rae released ‘Put Your Records On’.

‘Glory Days’ is released on April 16th and is taken from the album ‘Overtones’, which is out now.

Don’t stop me!

Mark Ronson has done a cracking version of The Smiths classic ‘Stop Me’. The vocals are by Daniel Merriweather.

The video is interesting with the ‘running man’. The guy’s ‘fat suit’ doesn’t look too convincing. I like the concept behind it though. Perhaps some of those shoes would help the world’s ‘weighty problems’!

The single is out on April 9th, while the album ‘Version’ from where the track is taken, comes out on April 16th.

It was all a Blur

Posted by Stevio in Pop on March 29th, 2007

Today I’ve chosen Blur’s ‘Coffee and TV’. It’s a great video with a cute little Milk carton character, with, of course, a pretty good song too.

It appears the British band haven’t broken up, however, each member appears to be doing their own thing.

Lead signer Damon Albarn last year formed a new band, which doesn’t officially have a name, although most people refer to them as ‘The Good, the Bad and the Queen’.
